Kladruby Monastery

The Monastery was founded by Vladislaus I, Duke of Bohemia. The construction was arranged in the Romanesque style with gothic elements. The most important reconstruction of the monastery occurred from 1712 to 1726 under the direction of the architect Jan Blazej Santini-Aichl, who rebuilt the baroque gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, St. Wolfgang and St. Benedict.
