Monastery Garden

The Monastery Garden* is a unique place with its own unique atmosphere. It was opened for the public in 2006 and since then it has been used for cultural and sports events and as a possible place for leisure time and meetings. Local people like it as somewhere for peaceful relaxation in a natural setting in the middle of the town.

In 2014 the garden underwent an extensive revitalization, during which all objects located in the Garden* were renovated, the fountain was restored  as were  the walls.

In the middle of the Monastery Garden* there is the gallery of contemporary art – Galerie Dům.

The gallery is focused on the presentation of the works of those artists who even today like to express their work linking the traditional means of expression which for the artists haven’t lost their power and meaningfulness – the media of paintings, drawings, graphic art, sculptures/statues/objects, but also photographs. Within the intimate and unique gallery premises is reflected the meaning in the gallery title  Galerie Dům.
